Since 2023, artist duo Sébastien Durand and Denise Padron Benitez have
explored various aspects of the human psyche, digital media and
experimental storytelling in their project Exercitia Spiritualia Animae, in
which Dreaming of Hephaestus is the first chapter out of three.
With their respective backgrounds in sound manipulation, audio
recording, animation, live video editing, photography and poetry, their
collaboration centers around expanded media, mythology and imagined
futures and pasts.
